BIOGRAPHY
Yogini fondly known as Yogini Amma to all her near and dear ones, was born on 7th July 1955 to Mrs Padmini Ramachander a pious lady who infused Guru Bhakthi in her from her childhood. The first Guru with whom she had a close encounter was Ganapath Maharaj at Hubli,India. Her interaction with the Guru at her young formative years instilled in her the spiritual foundation nesessary in her life to sail through the Bhavasagara called Samsara. The love and compasion she received from Ganapath Maharj laid the foundation for her deep love and regards to Saints. She embraced the spiritual path at her young age.In one of her articles in her Diary she says "Spirituality means first having a strong faith in the goodness & caring nature of God,secondly following the principles of righteousness, humility with patience & Calmness and thirdly trying to help or serve others who are in distress-need and helpless poor people". Further she has categorically stated that "One needs a long practice or sadhana, one cannot follow the spiritual life very easily. To get the spiritual way of life one has to face many attrocities, tests in the exam of understanding one's own lifes real aim or goal of life". It looks as though it is out of her experience she was penning down in her diary since early on she lost her mother when she was studying in highschool, lost her sister (Suvarna) who was with her in Bombay, lost her nephew (Ashvin) who was very close to her and had almost lost her Husband due to Kidney failure but because of her strong faith and strong spiritual foundation was able to go through these difficult moments and keep her balance. Her strong faith in the divinity and the Satguru was able to bring back her husband from the clutches of Death like 'Satyavan Savitri'. During all these critical period she also faced illtreatment and humiliation from different people trying to put her down pshycologically because of peoples cruel tendencies but she kept her cool since Her devotion to her Guru Mata Amritanandamayi Devi remained very strong and was unconditional and also the spiritual foundation was very strong till the end of her physical life (9th October 2007).But she has become immortal by her thoughts and deeds. She lives in our heart for ever....................
The body is confined
By its natural properties.
It comes,
It lingers awhile,
It goes.
But the Self neither comes nor goes.
So why grieve for the body?
-Ashtavakra Gita 15:9
